Create an account and you always start with a Cookiebot Free Version (free subscription). If your website has more than 50 sub-pages, the subscription automatically changes to a 14-day Cookiebot free trial. You will receive an email notification of this. You can upgrade at any time from the Free Version or Free Trial to a Cookiebot Premium subscription. Then you only need to enter your credit card or Paypal information. Cookiebot pricing: how is it determined?

The size of the Cookiebot subscription is determined by the total number of pages (including sub-pages) found on your website. The cookie scanner scans the entire website including all sub-pages where cookies and tracking technology may be in use. This includes dynamic pages and pages with iframes, videos, images, pop-ups, etc. This Cookiebot cookie scan is necessary to make sure that all cookies and trackers are found (and thus be compliant) as well as to display accurate information when a website visitor is asked to give consent.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

If you have a subscription with Cookiebot through us, you can change or cancel your subscription at any time through the “My account” page. Upgrades are effective immediately, while downgrades and cancellations are effective at the end of the billing period.

Which cookies do you find?

We scan your website for the 10 most well-known tracking technologies, including those behind your login system. The Cookiebot scanner finds many more trackers than other parties. Consider: HTTP cookies, Javascript cookies, HTML5 Local Storage 1st party cookies, HTML5 Local Storage 3rd party cookies, IndexedDB, Silverlight Isolated Storage, Flash Local Shared Object, Web beacons, Ultrasound beacons and Pixel tags.

Is the solution also suitable for my website?

Cookiebot CMP is valuable for all companies, organizations and self-employed individuals with one or more websites. The website does not have to be perfect, as long as it generates traffic on it. The Cookiebot solution gives you insight into cookies and other trackers on your website(s). Based on these insights (after receiving monthly reports), you can adjust which cookies you want to continue using or not. Optionally, you can make arrangements with Third Parties who receive information from visitors to your Web site.

Cookiebot pricing – Can our website also be scanned daily?

That is certainly possible. Your website will then be scanned daily for cookies, and all changes, additions and deletions to cookies and trackers will be immediately reflected in the cookie banner and cookie statement. The rate for daily scanning is €62 per month. This cost is in addition to the monthly Cookiebot subscription fee.

Is a sub-domain considered a separate domain?

Yes, domains and sub-domains are seen separately. This is because we scan every domain/sub-domain. Therefore, you need a subscription for each of your domains and sub-domains (see Cookiebot pricing above). Some examples:

– example.com, it.example.com and uk.example.com are considered 3 different domains.

– example.com/en, example.com/it and example.com/da is considered 1 domain.

Note example.com and www.example.com (www alias) are considered 1 domain.

How do I sign up?

Sign up for a new account here. After you complete the login process, use the two scripts from the Cookiebot manager. Place these scripts in your website & the cookie banner and statement are active immediately. Our guide tells you how to do that. Credit card information is not directly required, by the way.

Does the solution provide for automatic cookie blocking?

Yes! As one of the few solutions, Cookiebot’s solution provides automatic cookie blocking. This means that no cookies will be set, except necessary cookies, until the visitor has given permission for cookies to be set.

Important here: put the script for the cookie banner as the very first script in the header of your website (template) and this script ensures that no cookies or trackers are placed without permission.

How does Cookiebot perform compared to other solutions?

We think Cookiebot is the best solution for managing cookies on websites. Very few solutions include all required GDPR functionalities, such as:

1) Enabled prior authorization.

2) Clear and specific information about data types and the purpose of cookies.

3) Complete documentation of all consents given.

4) The ability for users to reject unnecessary cookies and still use the website.

5) The ability for users to withdraw consent whenever they want.

Cookie solutions that do not have these features are not GDPR-compliant.

Is the trial period always free?

Yes! During the trial period, you can use the cookie banner and cookie declaration on your website for 14 days free of charge. If you are satisfied after the trial period, you sign up for a subscription. Based on the size of the domain, it is determined whether it will be a Lite, Small, Medium or a Large subscription (see Cookiebot pricing above). Don’t want to use the Cookiebot or CookieInfo solution after all? Then remove the scripts from your website. Then, of course, the cookie banner and cookie declaration no longer work.

Cookiebot pricing – What types of payments do you accept?

You can pay for a Cookiebot subscription with all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB, Discover, American Express, Dankort and PayPal.

Is notification that we use cookies not enough?

No, unfortunately not. Since May 25, 2018, the AVG has been in effect. This states that visitors to a website must explicitly consent to the placement of cookies. They must also have insight into which cookies these are and it must be just as easy for visitors to withdraw their consent. So a simple notification that you use cookies does not comply with the new laws and regulations.

Are there any hidden costs?

You can cancel your subscription(s) at any time and there are no hidden fees we charge.
